How to get to the port of Arbatax
There are various options for reaching the port located near the village of Ogliastra.
Car
From the north: if you are arriving from the northern side of the island on the SS125, exit at the Arbatax Porto junction and at the roundabout continue straight on via Baccasara. At the next roundabout take the first exit and continue to the end of the road. Then make a small turn right and then left, passing the train tracks. At the next fork, keep to the left and follow the signs to the port.
From the south: still arriving on the SS125, take the Tortolí – Lido di Orrí exit. Go straight until the end of the road and then turn right onto Corso Umberto I and go straight along Via Monsignor Virgilio. Continue to the last fork and then follow the signs for the port.
Bus
If you are on the island and would like to take a means of transport that is not yours, you can use the regional transport line. You can catch the bus at the main bus stop in Tortolí in Piazza Fra Locci, then take the connection to Arbatax. Otherwise, the urban transport service is also available.
